Elder King, Connor, and Elder Hayward
Elder King and Elder Hayward pulled up beside Connor as he was walking and asked him if he would like to know more about Jesus Christ. He did, and was baptized in October. He will be ordained a priest on November 4th.

WE KNOW EACH ONE OF THEM....WE LOVE THEM...WE WILL MISS THEM!
Missionaries serving in the Canada Vancouver Mission participate in spiritually uplifting gatherings prior to departing. Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning, they arrive in Richmond for their exit interview with President Tilleman. Following interviews, we travel to the temple as a group and attend the 3:20 session. Elder and Sister Jones have stewardship over this group as we travel to and from the temple. What an honor. These young men are obedient and have strong testimonies. The travel time passed quickly as they sang and shared mission experiences. Spending time with them in the temple was a spiritual experience we shall never forget.
We then return to Richmond, and take them to President and Sister Tilleman's home for a lovely farewell dinner and testimony meeting. They stay in a nearby hotel that evening, before arising early the next morning to travel to the nearby airport to return home
Elder Lomu (yellow tie) returned to Tonga. His worn shoes are shown in the photo below. Aug. 14, 2012

Our heroes wear...... tract shoes Isaiah 52:7
Elder Lomu was in the office helping place Book of Mormons on the shelf, while waiting for his exit interview with President Tilleman. Sister Jones asked if she could take a picture of his shoes. Don't you love them? He was a hardworking missionary during his two years in the Canada Vancouver Mission.

AMAZING SISTERS SERVING IN THE CANADA VANCOUVER MISSION...
We are so happy to say we know each one of these beautiful missionaries (along with six other sisters not in attendance, nor being transferred this week). These young women are beautiful inside and out. They have strong testimonies and are truly delightful to be around. We love them. Sister Jones especially loves giving them a hug, and they love being hugged. L to R - Sisters Carroll, Webster, Vallejo,Duffy,Doria, Benning, Bosshardt, Arbon(just arrived) Davidson, & Cho.

TRANSFER WEEK.... Usually 80 to 100 missionaries travel to Richmond to meet their new companions.
This is always a busy, but great week.
We provide lunch for them, and help them collect supplies and Book of Mormons. The new missionaries arrive on Wednesday. We welcomed 11 Elders and one Sister. They receive training Wed. afternoon and Thursday morning. They are included in this group as they leave for their first areas of service.

TRANSFER DAY.....
Sarah Tilleman, President and Sister Tilleman's daughter, was baptized last week.
She preferred having lunch with Sister Jones
We took our Pizza, salad, brownies and drinks to the mission office, where Sarah used Sister Jones' computer to play some fun "kid" games while we ate.
